Barack talks a good game, but I'm not sure he is ready for the presidency. I believe that he would serve the black community more effectively, as vice president. Once he shows that legislators are in alignment under his watch (he is the president of the U.S. Senate). I feel strongly that he can carry out a very succesful presidency. "That's just my perspective". What about you? Is Barack a formidable presidential prospect?
I believe that Barack has a place in this new administration. Although, it may not be the presidency (i still may vote for him). Yet, I'm not sure of his total agenda. With Hilary Clinton, we have an individual whose philosophy of american life and economics are built on the same principles of her husband, Former President Bill Clinton. I feel that he has been a frim supporter of all american life.
Barack impresses me with his unique persona. He can make you believe in him from the second he speaks, and that is a huge advantage in this election. The american public is seeking desparately, a leader of whom they can believe in and follow.

I fail to understand the local behind the statement, "I believe that he [Obama] would serve the black community more effectively, as Vice President."
No one enters a race to win "second" place. It is public knowledge that he has not had as much experience as a politician as some of the other hopeful candidates, however to suggest that he has to "prove" himself [as a Vice President] in order to effectively serve the black community is ludicrous. History shows there have been former actors, athletes and farmers who have stepped off the stage/field/farm and become President. Why does a BLACK man have to show that he can lead before being afforded the opportunity?
The way I see it, Obama's short track record as a politician can work to his advantage. Although he may have a short record of accomplishments, there is also an equally short record of shortcomings. Unlike some of the other candidates who we are able to delve into their record of unkept "campaign" promises.
It would be a mistake to ASSUME that Hiliary Clinton's political philosophy is the same as former Present Clinton's. I think assuming is one of weak points of us as black voters. I would want my vote to go to someone who represents my interest, well-being, and values. I am not stating that I would vote for him [Obama] just because he is black - I am simply saying, DO YOUR RESEARCH!
